Eligibility requirements-
- Ability to effectively work with and manage others.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office and working to deadlines would be an advantage.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
Duties and responsibilities-
- Compile Tenders- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers, negotiate and chase tenders. From drawings / specifications provided, compile tenders and complete with detailed letters, ensuring that the tender log is updated. Follow-up enquiries that have been tendered.
- Enquiries to Suppliers-Send enquiries to suppliers for prices on materials. Disputing standing time or issues with deliveries direct with the supplier and updating necessary logs.
- Negotiation -Negotiate terms with suppliers/manufacturers. Update our price files and revise site profit margins when material or labour costs increase.
- Sales Extras -Price sales extra’s as and when required adding all details to the Vo Log. Chase clients for VO numbers keeping all logs up to date.
- New Contracts -Set up new contracts on the computer system and update the site set up log. Sites to be fully set up within a minimum of 2 weeks prior to site commencement date. Scheduling materials and hours. Set up purchasing terms, sending suppliers details as required.
- Price Increase Requests- Diarise when sites fixed price is due to expire. One month prior, calculate what we are making and what price increase we need/want and detail what has increased in cost to justify the increase request.
- Procurement of Materials- Assist with the procurement of materials for your specific sites. Updating prices and answering any invoice queries. Take telephone orders from operatives on site and process accurately and efficiently.
- Site Files Assist -with site files and technical enquiries from operatives and other departments. Set up and produce details site file two weeks prior to site start, ensuring that all drawings have been highlighted, a key points page has been done and this has been signed for by the Contracts Manager and Electrician managing the site.
- Site Visits- You may be required to carry out site visits to undertake valuations or in order to provide quotations and to assist with any technical queries.
- Site Management -To fully manage your sites, updating site file folders and checking and implementing any changes as and when required. Amend schedules on an ongoing basis. Agreeing and disputing any contra charges, Processing Completed plots for your sites along with final accounts and assisting with WIP.
- Labour Planner -You may be required to update the labour planner with latest information on tendered / chased and current contracts in relations to labour requirements
- Health & Safety -Produce H&S documentation, ensuring that signature sheets are returned, and these are kept up to date. Ensure all logs are kept up to date.
- Site Billing -To cross reference and ensure all billing has been processed. Complete Dayworks and obtain necessary builder instructions/orders. .
- Returns -Quantify/value returns, process return request, chase merchants to collect/credit within the timescales set in our policy and terms agreed with our suppliers. This includes liaising with our engineers and contract managers to arrange collections.
- Timesheets- To check and authorise hours. Ensure all documentation is received and processed and logs fully updated. Chase down any paperwork that is required and report any issues to the contract’s manager/line manager.
- Queries -To answer any queries that may arise from other departments, this may include customer Care issues, Bonus and Timesheet queries, product information
Any other tasks as assigned by your Manager as and when required.

· Work schedule- Monday to Friday 8am- 5pm.

· Due to location, own transport is preferable, however, we are on the number 10 bus route.
· Holidays- 22 days plus bank holidays.
